Founded by Mike and Jasmin in 2004, Mandala Seeds grew out of decades of cultivation, travel and a shared fascination with cannabis and traditional plant knowledge.
OUR STORY
Growing, travelling and living in 18 countries gave us the opportunity to explore cannabis in many of its traditional settings, collect landrace and rare hybrid genetics, and build the genetic repository that became the foundation of our breeding work.
Our interest grew alongside a fascination with nature and traditional plant knowledge, including the cultivation and study of shamanic plants and entheogens. What started as a personal passion eventually developed into Mandala Seeds.

We’re still here doing what we started out doing: growing, learning and creating genetics we believe in.
Breeding the Mandala Way
From the beginning, we wanted to do things differently. We developed our own breeding and seed-production methods with an emphasis on plant health, genetic diversity, and wholesome high. The goal has never been to chase trends. We breed cannabis that we genuinely enjoy growing and consuming, and that performs reliably in the hands of growers around the world.
That philosophy has shaped Mandala strains for more than two decades: vigorous plants, distinctive aromas and effects, easy plant care, and quality genetics at a fair price.
Behind every packet are years of selection, testing and hands-on experience.

Sharing knowledge has always been part of Mandala Seeds.
Over the years we have written and taught extensively on cannabis cultivation and botany, challenging common growing myths and promoting simpler, more ecological cultivation methods.
That philosophy shapes everything we do, from how we produce our seeds and run our business to how we interact with the natural world.
