A Sativa that Delivers

8 Miles High is all about superb aroma and an energetic Sativa high that can take you from uplifting and euphoric to wonderfully trippy.

Behind that experience is a remarkably practical plant. Indoor flowering gets moving fast, while outdoors the crop can finish by mid-October even in northern climates.

A high-flying Sativa that doesn’t keep you waiting forever for the harvest.

Amazing Results

8 Miles High gives you two different plant types. Both can easily fit into standard grow tents.

The Indica-type females have minimal branching and fit neatly into small spaces or close rows, while the Sativa-leaning have longer branches and great potential for cropping or growing big outdoor.

Resinous buds develop throughout the plant from top to bottom. No space is wasted and the buds are easy to trim during harvest.

Aroma & Effects

The aroma is one of the delights of 8 Miles High and makes this a bestselling Mandala strain.

Piney freshness, sweet lemonade, almond and tangerine can join the mix, while cured buds reveal everything from strawberry and melon to apple-cinnamon and hash-candy. The smoke has a fresh minty taste with a lingering sweetness.

The energetic Sativa high is clear-headed and cerebral, with flashes of insight and sometimes trippy visuals with closed eyes. Many users appreciate that 8 Miles High is not prone to triggering anxiety or a racy heart.

The euphoric high eventually glides back down, leaving an expansive sense of well-being in its wake.

8 Miles High is a fragrant, uplifting Sativa with an energetic high that can sometimes venture into distinctly trippy territory. Special attention was devoted to making this variety easy to grow without sacrificing the qualities Sativa lovers are looking for. Indoor flowering starts quickly, with most plants showing sex within one week of switching to 12/12, while outdoors the strain can finish by mid-October in northern climates.

The plants have proven remarkably reliable under environmental stress, including abrupt changes in light and temperature. They can therefore be started indoors and planted outside without adverse effects. 8 Miles High has no special cultivation requirements, shows good mold resistance and grows well in soil with minimal feeding, making it a rewarding choice for growers with little experience or limited time for plant care.

There are two main phenotypes. The Indica-type females have minimal branching and medium-tall growth, fitting easily into smaller spaces or close rows. The Sativa-leaning phenotype develops longer branches due to extended internodes and can be grown as a multi-stem plant or trained, with excellent potential for large outdoor harvests. Both phenotypes work well in hydroponic SOG cultivation. Pruning the lower branches on Sativa-leaning females helps direct their energy into the long central cola.

Resin production starts fast and profusely during early flowering and continues throughout the plant from top to bottom. The excellent calyx-to-leaf ratio and slim leaves make trimming a quick job, adding another welcome benefit when harvest arrives.

The aromatic diversity of 8 Miles High is one of its most distinctive features. A rare strawberry fragrance can emerge alongside earthy sweetness and dominant piney freshness. As the plants mature, sweet lemonade, almond and tangerine may join the mix. After curing, the buds can reveal strawberry, melon, apple-cinnamon or hash-candy aromas, while the smoke carries a fresh minty taste with lingering sweetness.

The high lifts off straight to the head, triggering plenty of cerebral activity with flashes of insight and, at times, long episodes of trippy closed-eye visuals when you switch to autopilot. It remains functional enough for daytime activities while providing plenty of energy for a long night out. The uplifting, euphoric high eventually glides back down, leaving an expansive feeling of well-being behind.

Broad spectrum use.

A Tribute to the Flower Children and Their Musical Heritage

The song “Eight Miles High” was written by the legendary Byrds after a flight to London, totally stoned and spaced out. The Byrds became pioneers of psychedelic rock, and their rapidly changing avant-garde style helped shape musical trends ranging from folk rock and space rock to psychedelic and country rock. Their music reflected the incredible transformation the counterculture of the 1960s was undergoing.

Roger McGuinn’s 12-string guitar solo in “Eight Miles High” became a milestone in rock history, drawing inspiration from both John Coltrane’s modal jazz innovations and the hypnotic drone of Indian raga. It was a tonal adventure that anticipated the later development of fusion and world music.

David Crosby left the Byrds in 1968 and became part of the famed Crosby, Stills & Nash, writing another transformative chapter in music history.

With this humble tribute, we wish to thank all the Flower Children for their courage to explore new frontiers of consciousness, and for their far-out music that continues to touch our hearts.

The Byrds singer/guitarists:
Roger McGuinn, David Crosby, Gene Clark
bassist: Chris Hillman
drummer: Michael Clarke.

Our organic cannabis seeds are fresh, fully ripened and handcrafted. Each batch is pre-tested for 100% germination and can be easily germinated directly in quality seedling soil.

In Europe, Compo Sana Seedling Mix is an excellent choice. Popular options in North America include Burpee Seed Starting Mix, Pro-Mix Organic Seed Starting Mix and Fox Farm Light Warrior Seed Starter.

Give the seed embryo the best chance to emerge from its shell. If you grow organically, investing in quality seedling soil is one of the simplest ways to get your plants off to a healthy start. We have seen many germination problems caused by peat pellets and Jiffy tabs, where the acidic pH can interfere with germination. Coco coir bricks and other compressed growing blocks can also result in poor germination rates.

There is no need to soak our seeds or use other pre-germination methods. We recommend planting them directly into seedling soil. We cannot accept responsibility for germination results when seeds are soaked in water or germinated in paper tissues.

WARNING: Do NOT lower the pH of your water with acids such as “pH-Down” products containing nitric or phosphoric acid. These can be fatal to young seedlings when growing in soil. We have used inexpensive vinegar to lower the pH of our water for 35 years. It is non-toxic and harmless to the plants when used correctly.

For soil cultivation, the correct water pH is 6.2–6.5. Please consult our Water & pH Guide for more information.

I havent ran 8 miles high in over ten years

I havent ran 8 mile high in over ten years. Never had enough room in the past to really give it a fair shake. So I tried seeds from 2010 not knowing if they where still good and..... 3 out of 3 popped! One plant started preflowering after only 4 weeks! male flowers so that plant was removed. The other two where phenos. One was a branchy short plant the other was definitely an open taller plant. They where both strong plants. Flowered them out once. Nice buds on both plants. easy to harvest.
After curing one plant had a strong smell of Strawberry and one had a lesserstrawberry smell but also something fuel like too. The smoke is great and the effect is a up high. good for morning and daytime.
I decide to keep only one of the 2 so i kept the shorter one and let the cats have the other!! lol
However... I suddenly decided to i liked the taller one!!! By that time the cats had had there way as well as me not watering her for days. But this plant wanted to live. After cutting her back SEVERLY leaving just the tiniest of new growth showing she is rocking and rolling giving cuts and currently flowering out. ( i call her ole stumpy! ) good plant, strong genes!
XX Im also including a photo of a Ganesh plant that came from a 17 year old seed. she a slow grower. havent sexed her yet XX

A grateful Eight Miles lover

Hey mates, I am very happy to share with you some pics of this outstanding 8 Miles High that Jasmin and Mike made for us...
Dear Eight Miles, I just have to say, you've stolen my heart . Your high level of terpenoids with a strong mature melon smell is just divine, and I can not get enough of it . Every time I take a whiff, it is like a breath of fresh air, and it just fills me with happiness. And let's not forget about your frosty appearance . Your buds are hard like rock and also simply stunning , covered in a layer of crystals that glisten in the light . It is like looking at a work of art, and I can't help but feel a sense of awe every time I gaze upon you.
In short, Eight Miles, you are everything I could ever want in a weed strain and more . I can not imagine my life without you, and I look forward to spending many more happy moments with you and my friends .
With all my love,
A grateful Eight Miles lover

8 miles high A very vigorous and robust outdoor plant

After two weeks of light reduction (under tarpaulin) from mid-August, it came into flower - in northern Germany - in mid-September and was ready for harvest in mid-November. No problem at all with mold or other diseases. Extremely productive, a good kilo of flowers per plant! Pleasant stimulating high! My favorite strain

My favorite Sativa

I grow several 8mh plants every year outdoors in a hot dry climate; they always grow well, yield plenty, taste amazing, and produce the happiest sativa highs I've found. This strain is the bulk of my grow and personal smoke and I never ever get tired of it.

Fantastic for a pheno hunt

Most have a mild yet complete musky and sweet base, each with a different mix of fruits, especially strawberry, lime, and guava. Each also has distinguishing touches of mint, pine, spice, pepper or vanilla. Very inviting in the jar. All have a clean hybrid effect. Most are sativa, giving focus, energy, euphoria and creativity. I found it to be perfect for project work and study. The best gave visual enhancement, time dilation and energetic sensory effects - very good fun! Those leaning more indica had a spaced out, calm, heavy yet active and entertaining buzz. I'd recommend it to anyone (including beginners) looking to add a great all round hybrid offering the full spectrum of classic qualities all in one pack.

8 Miles High sprouted from seed in 37°F outdoor night temps!!

She isn't nearly finished growing yet, and i only sprouted 1 seed so far because of the exceptionally cold spring we have been experiencing and needing a maintenance man to install a 8 stage water filter that I bought for myself and my plants. So I have been using bottled water and water that i have boiled and let cool to room temp. So far I LOVE the look and heartiness of the plant, just not sure if it is a female or male yet and I keep wanting to top it, but having to much fun watching it just grow and grow.. :-)

I have started seeds and all came up ,very good looking and big leaves and stocks. I have received seeds before and your cannabis is great, good flavor and mold is no problem , and I will give a review in fall, and in maybe 6 weeks after cure.

No words...

Had an experienced smoker friend visiting from New York city during prohibition. She commented that it was the best flower she has ever smoked and I have to agree. It lifts your spirits, but doesn't push you. It energizes you, but doesn't bring a racy heart. You have the energy to talk, but also the motivation to listen. You just feel great, plain and simple. Grow out a whole pack to find the keeper. It's well worth it!
