Exotic Landrace Genetics
Kalichakra brings together unique landrace genetics from South India and the Golden Triangle, two legendary regions of Asian cannabis culture.
The name was inspired by the Indian goddess Kali, consort of the ganja-smoking Lord Shiva, giving this Sativa a fitting connection to the ancient cannabis traditions of India.
From these exotic roots comes a surprisingly adaptable strain that feels equally at home in a modern indoor garden.
Towers of Calyxes
Kalichakra develops fat, conical buds that often peak in impressive towers of stacked calyxes. The long-head-bud phenotype is the one to watch for if maximum yield or a keeper mother is on your mind.
The open Sativa structure allows light to penetrate deep into the plant, helping flowering shoots develop all the way down.
An exceptionally high calyx-to-leaf ratio means those substantial buds also come with a welcome bonus: harvest is quick and easy.

Sativa Made Easy
Unlike many tropical Sativas, Kalichakra grows extremely well indoors and has even produced satisfactory results under low light. She adapts readily to SOG, SCROG and hydroponics, while abundant cloning makes it easy to keep a favourite plant going.
The open growth pattern distributes light naturally. Training is optional unless height becomes an issue. Low odor also makes Kalichakra an excellent stealth strain.
Add good mold resistance and forgiving cultivation, and these exotic landrace genetics become surprisingly accessible even for beginners.

Aroma & Effects
Sweet and minty flavours accompany most of the fragrant buds, followed by a smooth upbeat high.
Rather than pushing into a racy Sativa rush, Kalichakra can brighten the mood and give you a sunnier outlook, keeping the experience functional and social, without unwanted side-effects. A warm, relaxed body sensation often develops alongside the cerebral effects.
Enjoy it through an active day or simply lie back and relax. We like to call it balanced yin-yang ganja, bringing the best of both worlds together.

Kalichakra combines unique landrace genetics from South India and the Golden Triangle. Named after the Indian goddess Kali, consort of the ganja-smoking Lord Shiva, this exotic Sativa brings together Asian cannabis heritage with surprisingly easy and adaptable cultivation.
Unlike many typical Sativas, Kalichakra grows extremely well indoors and can perform satisfactorily even under lower light levels. The plants are vigorous without being difficult to manage, provide abundant clones and grow especially fast in hydroponics. Low odor during flowering also makes Kalichakra a good choice when discreet cultivation is important.
The plants develop in a classic Sativa Christmas-tree shape with medium to long internodes and an open structure that allows light to reach flowering shoots throughout the plant. Kalichakra responds well to tying down and SCROG, but training is often unnecessary unless height needs to be controlled. Nearly all plants can also be fitted into a SOG despite their branchy growth.
Flowering produces fat, conical buds that often peak in distinctive towers of calyxes. The phenotype dominated by a long head bud is particularly desirable for high yields and makes an excellent keeper for cloning or breeding. Some plants may need support toward the end of flowering as the buds gain weight. An exceptionally high calyx-to-leaf ratio makes harvesting quick and simple.
Plant height is easy to control through vegetative time or pruning. With four weeks of vegetative growth indoors, most plants remain around 100–120 cm. Flowering can be completed in approximately 68 days, although some seed plants continue to develop fatter buds when given another week. Clones tend to finish earlier.
Kalichakra also has good mold resistance and is particularly well suited to hot, warm-temperate and tropical regions. Outdoor cultivation can produce high yields up to around 42°N, while a greenhouse is recommended in far northern climates.
Most plants produce fragrant buds with a sweet-minty taste. The high starts leisurely and develops smoothly, making Kalichakra especially appealing to people who are sensitive to a racing heart or anxiety. Its positive, mood-enhancing character can bring a sunnier outlook while remaining functional and social, often accompanied by a warm and relaxed bodily sensation.
Kalichakra works beautifully as a daytime smoke for all kinds of activities, yet can just as easily accompany an afternoon of lying back and relaxing. We like to think of it as balanced yin-yang ganja, bringing together the uplifting qualities of a Sativa with a warm sense of physical ease.
Kalichakra has broad spectrum use and is know to improve mood and motivate.
Our organic cannabis seeds are fresh, fully ripened and handcrafted. Each batch is pre-tested for 100% germination and can be easily germinated directly in quality seedling soil.
In Europe, Compo Sana Seedling Mix is an excellent choice. Popular options in North America include Burpee Seed Starting Mix, Pro-Mix Organic Seed Starting Mix and Fox Farm Light Warrior Seed Starter.
Give the seed embryo the best chance to emerge from its shell. If you grow organically, investing in quality seedling soil is one of the simplest ways to get your plants off to a healthy start. We have seen many germination problems caused by peat pellets and Jiffy tabs, where the acidic pH can interfere with germination. Coco coir bricks and other compressed growing blocks can also result in poor germination rates.
There is no need to soak our seeds or use other pre-germination methods. We recommend planting them directly into seedling soil. We cannot accept responsibility for germination results when seeds are soaked in water or germinated in paper tissues.
WARNING: Do NOT lower the pH of your water with acids such as “pH-Down” products containing nitric or phosphoric acid. These can be fatal to young seedlings when growing in soil. We have used inexpensive vinegar to lower the pH of our water for 35 years. It is non-toxic and harmless to the plants when used correctly.
For soil cultivation, the correct water pH is 6.2–6.5. Please consult our Water & pH Guide for more information.
