Landrace Roots, Award-Winning Genetics
Krystalica carries authentic landrace genetics from Kerala and Nepal, refined over years of breeding with select old-school genetics to bring down the height and push yields higher.
Named a HIGH TIMES 'Top 10 Strain of the Year' in 2011 and featured in Cannabis Sativa Volume 1 and The Big Book of Buds, its story didn't stop there. Our current edition was further refined through continued breeding and careful preservation of the genetics, keeping Krystalica as vigorous, potent and productive as ever.
Exceptional Plants
Krystalica is famous for producing standout individuals with immense yield and resin potential. The best plants can be spectacular, with trichomes spreading onto the surrounding leaves and heavy buds loading the branches.
Keep your clones. One exceptional mother plant can become the foundation for harvest after harvest, or a valuable parent for your own crosses.

Fast Sativa - Big Yield
Krystalica packs a lot into a surprisingly manageable Sativa. In just 9–10 weeks of flowering, she builds weighty buds on broad colas. Exceptional plants have massive yields and spectacular resin coverage that shines like crystals, hence the name "Krystalica".
Her height stays manageable indoors, while outdoors in mild climates, or a greenhouse, the head buds and side branches can grow to extraordinary proportions.

Krystalica is a Sativa-dominant strain that combines high potency, impressive resin production and excellent yields with remarkably straightforward cultivation. Its Kerala and Nepal landrace heritage has been refined over many years of breeding with select old-school genetics, resulting in plants that retain the vigor and quality of a fine Sativa while staying at a much more manageable height and finishing in just 9–10 weeks.
Plants are extremely robust, and growers have marvelled at their “insane vigour.” High resistance to heat and pests also makes the strain accessible to beginners while offering plenty of potential for experienced growers.
Buds can be dense, broad and pyramid-shaped, or show more Sativa-like expressions. Many plants produce impressive head colas and productive side branches. As flowering progresses, the weight of the buds may require some support.
In hydroponics, the yield potential can be extremely high, particularly when working with a selected mother plant.
One of Krystalica’s most exciting advantages is the appearance of exceptional individuals that can outperform the rest in both yield and resin production. Trichome coverage can become spectacular, spreading beyond the flowers onto the surrounding leaves. Keeping backup clones is highly recommended. Krystalica has long been appreciated for precisely this reason, with standout females offering excellent potential as mother plants and for personal breeding projects.
In soil, plants from seed benefit from at least 5-liter containers during vegetative growth and around 10 liters for flowering. Clones can be grown in smaller containers. Krystalica does not require complicated growing techniques to deliver quality results and also adapts well to SOG or close planting.
Outdoors, Krystalica performs best in regions with warm summers and is recommended up to approximately 45°N. Under favorable conditions, the main colas and side branches can reach impressive proportions and produce bumper harvests. Farther north, finishing time and overall performance depend more strongly on local temperatures, daylight hours and autumn weather.
Seeds can be started later in the season, up to the end of May, when shorter outdoor plants are preferred. In colder climates, seedlings can be started indoors and moved outside or into a greenhouse once conditions improve. Cuttings can also be used, although the light cycle should be managed carefully when moving clones outdoors to prevent premature flowering.
Krystalica is a high-terpene strain with a complex aroma that can vary considerably between individual plants. Fruity notes are prominent, with pineapple and bubblegum expressions accompanied by herbal, minty and earthy undertones. Some plants develop a strawberry aroma, a rare expression in cannabis that is well worth looking out for.
Krystalica delivers a potent, Sativa-dominant high with an uplifting, creative and focused character. What distinguishes it from many powerful Sativas is the smooth progression of the experience. The high retains its energy and potency without the pronounced raciness that can make some Sativas uncomfortable or trigger paranoia. This makes Krystalica especially enjoyable when you want a long-lasting cerebral high without feeling overwhelmed.
Broad spectrum use.
Our organic cannabis seeds are fresh, fully ripened and handcrafted. Each batch is pre-tested for 100% germination and can be easily germinated directly in quality seedling soil.
In Europe, Compo Sana Seedling Mix is an excellent choice. Popular options in North America include Burpee Seed Starting Mix, Pro-Mix Organic Seed Starting Mix and Fox Farm Light Warrior Seed Starter.
Give the seed embryo the best chance to emerge from its shell. If you grow organically, investing in quality seedling soil is one of the simplest ways to get your plants off to a healthy start. We have seen many germination problems caused by peat pellets and Jiffy tabs, where the acidic pH can interfere with germination. Coco coir bricks and other compressed growing blocks can also result in poor germination rates.
There is no need to soak our seeds or use other pre-germination methods. We recommend planting them directly into seedling soil. We cannot accept responsibility for germination results when seeds are soaked in water or germinated in paper tissues.
WARNING: Do NOT lower the pH of your water with acids such as “pH-Down” products containing nitric or phosphoric acid. These can be fatal to young seedlings when growing in soil. We have used inexpensive vinegar to lower the pH of our water for 35 years. It is non-toxic and harmless to the plants when used correctly.
For soil cultivation, the correct water pH is 6.2–6.5. Please consult our Water & pH Guide for more information.
